One of the rarest things about our honey isn't the Mānuka—it's the organic certification.
While New Zealand is home to thousands of Mānuka honey producers, only a handful are certified organic. Achieving certification requires a level of commitment, transparency and independent auditing that goes far beyond conventional beekeeping.
Our hives are located in some of New Zealand's most remote landscapes, where the bees forage naturally on native Mānuka. Every year, both our apiaries and surrounding foraging areas are independently audited to ensure they meet strict organic standards. Unlike conventional beekeeping, we cannot use synthetic hive treatments, pesticides, antibiotics or supplementary feed, and every step of our production is fully traceable.
Because bees can fly up to 3 km (2 miles) from the hive, it's not enough for the hive itself to be organic—the surrounding environment must also meet strict certification requirements. That's why our remote locations are so important.
Our commitment doesn't stop in New Zealand. To comply with USDA Organic regulations, we established Land Girl Organics LLC as a certified organic importer, ensuring our honey remains fully certified and traceable from our hives in New Zealand right through to our warehouse in the United States.
